In ‘Drift’ from my ‘Presence’ series, the focus is on the movement of the brush. Strokes follow the curves of the hair and body, echoing the gentle pull of water. The feeling of drifting comes as much from the flow of paint as from the figure itself. Each sweep of the brush traces a gentle movement, leaving space for the viewer to drift along.
